In October, John's dad, Jim, and I took the kiddos (Sean, Cameron and Maddison) to the Houston Air Show. The main attraction was a performance by the Thunderbirds, which was awesome. We had a great time despite the heat. I wasn't sure if Sean had a good time since all he seemed to be interested in was securing a toy of some kind (and he's still playing with it). However, he retained more than I thought and would be happy to give you a thorough talk on exactly what went on and how the pilots did what they did. He is, of course, an authority on how to fly "Top Guns" as watching the movie repeatedly gives you not only the ability to recite most of the movie but also the knowledge of how to operate said plane. (Yes, I realize that this is not the best choice for a child's movie but it beats the heck out of Barney or the Wiggles. Why can't mom like the movie as well? Who can beat a man in a flight suit? I did marry an Army pilot after all.......)
